At SAN, many of the eye-catching permanent murals and sculptures honor aviation legend Charles Lindbergh, or take advantage of and celebrate San Diego’s plentiful sunshine and beaches. Other works explore local culture. In Terminal 2, nine unusual, colorful and traditional Huichol and Tepehuano yarn paintings reflect the art and history of several indigenous cultures from Mexico that share roots with many people in San Diego’s Latino community.
